Why is it called Drummer PR?

In addition to being a music lover, I chose the name Drummer PR to communicate how I've always felt about public relations - that people respond in different ways to different stimuli (drumbeats), and that everything has its own, special beat.

Drummers were the original publicists; as conveners, their sounds drew people together to hear news. Drummers have pointed out to me that they truly need to play with others. And children typically play drums (ie, bang on things) before they even speak, because it accomplishes the same effect. Although I happen to be married to a drummer, I do not do his publicity, but it gave me some insights as to the name.

So there you go - now let's make some noise.
